The wait is finally over as the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL 2023) is scheduled to begin on Saturday, March 4. Three records can be broken in today’s match At the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai, the Gujarat Giants, and Mumbai Indians will face off in the marquee tournament’s opening game.

The goal of WPL 2023 is to usher in a new era for women’s cricket in the same way that the Indian Premier League revolutionized men’s cricket. Only DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium will host the entire tournament, so the biggest names in women’s cricket have gathered in Maharashtra for the first season.

On this historic first day of the inaugural #TATAWPL, it's good to remember that these aren't just players but role models to kids all around the country.
