In the Indian Premier League (IPL), the Delhi Capitals (DC) are going through one of those low points that seems to last forever. Numerous teams have experienced this kind of losing streak in the tournament over the years, finding it difficult to recover.

This season, the Delhi Capitals are in a similar predicament after losing their first five games. The Australian has been unable to motivate his team to improve under David Warner’s leadership. The Mumbai Indians have demonstrated in previous seasons that it is possible to overcome this situation and still win the title. In any case, the five-time advocate additionally lost their initial eight games last season, so there’s sufficient to recommend that the terrible streak is challenging to break out of for most sides.

With no focuses on the board, Delhi are moping at the lower part of the table at the present time. If they want to remain in contention for the playoffs, they need to turn things around quickly.

In light of this, Delhi must accomplish the following three things in order to resume winning:

    1) Better utilize Axar Patel.

The Delhi Capitals’ over- or under-utilization of Axar Patel has been one of the biggest criticisms this season. The Indian all-rounder is in excellent form for the national team heading into the tournament, making excellent contributions with both the bat and the ball.

The management of the team has the opportunity to move Axar Patel up the order in order to provide themselves with a left-handed player in the middle order as a result of Rishabh Pant’s absence from the team this year. Not just that, they need to ensure they capitalize on their man-in-structure.

    2) Maintain the same starting eleven.

The Capitals’ inconsistency in team selections is another factor that can be attributed to Rishabh Pant’s absence. Due to personal reasons, Mitchell Marsh has been in and out of the team, and Rilee Rossouw and Rovman Powell have not been given consistent playing time.

As a consequence of this, the players appear to lack clarity regarding their roles and lack sufficient game time to gain confidence. Due to injuries to Khaleel Ahmed and others, the team has rarely maintained a consistent starting eleven in its five matches thus far.

    3) Play as if nothing holds you back.

Well, David Warner is without a doubt having some difficulties this season. The tournament has seen the Delhi captain score 228 runs, but his strike rate of 117 has been, to put it mildly, rather disappointing. That has also had an impact on the remainder of the side.

Abhishek Porel, Sarfaraz Khan, and Yash Dhull have yet to make an impact, and Prithvi Shaw has not yet found his best form in the tournament. Although Manish Pandey brings some much-needed experience in the middle, the team needs to be fearless and let their cricket speak for itself on the field.
