    Top run-getters and wicket-takers following Durban Super Giants against MI Cape Town (Updated) featuring Heinrich Klaasen and Kagiso Rabada – SA20 2024

    On Thursday, January 11, Durban Super Kings defeated MI Cape Town by an 11-run margin in the second match of SA20 2024 at Kingsmead in Durban.

    After losing the toss, MI Cape Town was requested to bat first. Rassie van der Dussen got off to a good start, scoring 24 runs off 20 balls.

    However, in the middle overs, Dewald Brevis (5) and Connor Esterhuizen (17) failed to capitalize.

    Nonetheless, Ryan Rickleton, the opening hitter, contributed significantly with 87 runs off 51 balls, including six fours and as many sixes, striking at 170.59.

    Liam Livingstone (25) and Kieron Pollard (31* off 14) hit crucial late-innings runs to help their team reach 207/5 in 20 overs.

    Keemo Paul took two wickets for the Super Kings while allowing 31 runs in four overs.

    Richard Gleeson, Keshav Maharaj, and Dwaine Pretorius all got one wicket apiece to help him out.

    Quinton de Kock (5) and Wiaan Mulder (5) both fell early in the pursuit. Before departing, Matthew Breetzke (39) and Keemo Paul (15) put up a 40-run partnership for the third wicket.

    Heinrich Klaasen, batting at no. 5, scored 85 runs in 35 balls with four fours and eight sixes at a great strike rate of 242.86 to put his team ahead.

    Rain interrupted play at 177/6 in 16.3 overs.

    Durban Super Kings eventually won since they were 11 runs ahead of the DLS par score.

    Kagiso Rabada took two wickets for MI Cape Town, but it was in vain.

    Without further ado, here are the top run-getters and wicket-takers in the current SA20 2024 tournament.

    List of the Most Runs in SA20 2024

    MI Ryan Rickleton of Cape Town leads the batting standings with 87 runs.

    Heinrich Klaasen of the DSG batted in the middle order and scored 85 runs to claim second place.

    Matthew Breetzke, another of his teammates, finished third with 39 runs. Kieron Pollard’s 31-run cameo maintains him in fourth place.

    Liam Livingstone’s 25 runs helped him maintain sixth place.

    Rassie van der Dussen (24), Connor Esterhuizen (17), Keemo Paul (15), Nicholas Pooran (11), and Dwaine Pretorius (6) are sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth.

    List of Most Wickets in SA20 2024

    Kagiso Rabada of MICT leads the bowling standings with two wickets at an average of 11.5.

    DSG speedster Keemo Paul is second with two scalps but at a lesser average of 15.5.

    His partner Dwaine Pretorius finished third with a wicket at an economy rate of 7.5.

    With bowling averages of 23, 26, 31, 41, 42, and 47, Liam Livingstone, Keshav Maharaj, Sam Curran, Olly Stone, Beuran Hendricks, and Richard Gleeson rank fourth to ninth in the most wickets list.
