TWG2022: DRONE RACING DAY ONE RANKING. The Drone Racing Competition that is a part of the World Games has already begun, and the challenging course that all 31 pilots will be required to fly has already been set up.

This means that the competition is already underway.

On Saturday, July 9, the qualification rounds started, and in spite of the good weather, two rounds were able to be successfully completed, bringing the overall number of completed rounds to four. This brought the total number of completed rounds to a total of eight. During this time, we also published a ranking that was supposed to be just temporary at the time it was published. Because of the strong storm and the significant rain that was taking place at the time, the qualification races for rounds three and four had to be postponed. Both of these rounds got off to an unsatisfactory beginning as a direct result of this.

Due to the obstacles that have been purposefully placed in the tribunes of the stadium, the course itself provides both the competitors and the spectators with an exciting experience in and of itself. This holds true not only for those competing but also for those attending the event (see header image).

A big screen has been utilized both to announce the racers and to display video feeds of the four pilots racing in the race as they complete circuits around the track. This has been done in order to keep spectators engaged throughout the competition. This was accomplished by making use of both aspects of the screen at the same time. Two commentators have been keeping the audience up to date by giving them the most recent information. In this way, the audience has been kept current. One of our Technical Partners, Noosphere, is responsible for developing the grading system that is used by the FAI. They were the ones who oversaw the project from beginning to end.

The following is a list of where each player sits in the rankings for provisional qualifying as of the completion of play on Saturday, July 9:

    Killian ROUSSEAU (Junior-FRA)

    Evan TURNER (USA)

    ChangHyeon KANG (KOR)

At the 2019 World Drone Racing Championships, which took place in Ningbo, China, Rousseau finished in third place overall, which earned him a spot on the podium. Because of his outstanding achievement, he is currently ranked first on the list of candidates for the TWG2022. The year 2004 was his debut appearance at the world championships, where he competed for the first time as a junior racer.

Evan Turner, who is taking part in the tournament as a wild card entrant, has the same age as ChangHyeon, who is competing in the competition to represent the Republic of Korea. Evan Turner shares the same age as ChangHyeon, who is also 19 because they were born in the same year. In 2019, he triumphed at the FAI World Dangerous Riding Championship, establishing himself as the best rider in the world in this discipline.

Wanraya WANNAPONG, a female pilot from Thailand, finished the competition in the twelfth position overall, which placed her in the company of the other female pilots that participated in the competition. Due to the fact that she has won the FAI World Drone Racing Championship (FAI WDRC) in both 2018 and 2019, she is already a well-known star in the world of drone racing despite the fact that she is still a junior. This is because she triumphed in the championship competition in the year 2018. Due to her dominance at the FAI World Drone Racing Championship, she has crowned World Drone Racing Champion in 2017 and again in 2018.

During the early session on Sunday morning, the third and fourth qualification rounds are going to proceed in accordance with their typical timetables. This will take place during the session. Because of this, the races will be able to get off to a timely start at 12:45, and the groundwork will have been laid for the award presentation, which will get underway at 21:00.
