Twitter Erupts As Pakistan Beats India In Round 2 Of The Asia Cup 2022 Face-off: Round 2 of the 2022 Asia Cup series was between the Indian national cricket team and the Pakistan national cricket team. Pakistan defeated India by 5 wickets in an overwhelming match. This was Pakistan’s third win over the Indian team in 11 T20I outings.

Previously, Pakistan won the toss and invited India to bat first. The Men In Green saw one change in playing XI and Mohammad Hasnain replaced Shahnawaz Dahani.

On the other hand, Team India saw three major changes in playing XI for the blockbuster encounter. Hardik Pandya, Deepak Hooda, and Ravi Bishnoi replaced Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, and Avesh Khan respectively.

Openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma had a good start and they looked excellent in form. Pacer Haris Rauf had his breakthrough in the 6th over and sacked skipper Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma scored 28 runs with a strike rate of 175. This left India at 62/1 at the end of the power play.

Shadab Khan bagged the second wicket of the match and dismissed KL Rahul. KL Rahul went out for 28 in the 7th over. Mohammad Nawaz sent Suryakumar Yadav back to the pavilion for 13 in the 10th over.

Young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant made not much of an impression and Shadab Khan sacked him in 14th place.

Deepak Hooda scored 16 runs off 14 balls and stepped out in the 19th over. Virat Kohli scored an incredible 60 runs off 44 balls and stepped out in the 20th over. Leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi hit 2 fours on the last two balls of the innings and helped India reach 181/7.

On the other hand, Pakistan lost the wicket to Babar Azam early in the innings. The Pakistani captain was sent away by Ravi Bishnoi in the 4th over. Fakhar Zaman performed poorly with 18-ball 15 and Yuzvendra Chahal sacked him in the 9th over.

Mohammad Nawaz performed marvelously with 42 runs off 20 balls. His hits included 6 fours and 2 sixes but Bhuvneshwar Kumar sacked him in the 16th over. Mohammad Rizwan’s outstanding 71-point knockout came to an end by Hardik Pandya in the 17th over.

Khushdil Shah and Asif Ali destroyed the Indian bowling unit and helped Pakistan reach the finish line.

Well played Pakistan. For India – I know we can and will discuss a lot of things around this game but I think the big point is the balance that Jadeja lends to this team. He was missed. #INDvsPAK2022 #INDvsPAK #INDvPAK

Brilliant performance here by Pakistan. But 181 was never going to be enough on this batting track.

India lost Jadeja but they could have still played Dinesh Karthik. Hooda’s 16(14) in Karthik’s role was simply not good enough.

Brilliant run chase that from Pakistan. A morale-boosting win especially with no Shaheen Afridi and without a big contribution from Babar Azam #AsiaCup #INDvPAK

Very good bowling this by Arshdeep. After being hit for a four on an attempted yorker by Asif Ali, when he went deep inside the crease, Arshdeep just pulled his length off the yorker slightly back and targeted the stumps. And got the wicket. Excellent awareness.
