In the first innings of the second Test, which took place in Dhaka on Thursday, India bowled Bangladesh out for 227 runs. Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin each took four wickets. Mominul Haque scored 84 runs, but because Bangladesh chose to bat first, their innings ended approximately an hour before stumps. They frequently lost wickets. Bangladesh had scored 184-5 at the tea break, but Umesh bowled well and took three wickets consecutively in the final session. India won the first Test by 188 runs, but Rahul took his place because captain Rohit Sharma got hurt again. The match went to India. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who won player of the match honors in the first Test for his eight wickets, was replaced by paceman Unadkat by the visitors.
