The host nation South Africa and Sri Lanka will play in the first game of the eighth ICC Women’s T20 World Cup on February 10, 2023. The knockout stages of the event will take held in Cape Town, Paarl, and Gqeberha.
In case of significant play-related delays on the scheduled day, a backup date of February 27 will be used instead of February 26 for the final in 2023. Five-time and defending champions Australia will be grouped with Trans-Tasman rivals New Zealand and the host country South Africa in Group 1 of the Women’s T20 World Cup in 2023.
