The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Kolkata Knight Riders will play a replay of the T20 league final from the previous season as the 15th season of the T20 league gets underway (KKR). There will be a total of 70 league matches contested over four different IPL grounds in the state of Maharashtra.

This season of the Indian Premier League will include a total of ten teams thanks to the participation of the Gujarat Titans (GT) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The championship match is scheduled to take place on May 29.

The structure of the league stage has been changed, and as a result, the ten teams are now split into two groups of five teams each for the virtual portion of the competition. The schedule for the Indian Premier League playoffs has not yet been announced, but the championship match will take place on May 29.

    #5 MS Dhoni (4 titles)

MS Dhoni, the captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), has guided his team to four victories in the Indian Premier League. It was under Dhoni’s leadership that CSK won consecutive editions in 2010 and 2011. They were put on probation for two years, but they came back strong by winning the championship in 2018. After a dismal season in 2020, Dhoni led CSK to victory in the previous season as well, which they went on to win.

In the victories of 2010 and 2011, respectively, Dhoni was responsible for 287 and 392 runs scored. In 2018, he dominated with the bat, scoring 455 runs in 16 matches with a strike rate of 150.66.

This put him in the driver’s seat. The 2021 campaign was a disaster for the 40-year-old player who was playing with the willow. However, he performed an important cameo for CSK against Delhi Capitals (DC) in the Qualifier 1 match, scoring 18 runs off of six balls. This helped CSK advance to the final.

Harbhajan Singh and Suresh Raina are the other two players who have won four IPL titles in addition to Dhoni. While Harbhajan was a part of three victories while playing for MI (in 2013, 2015, and 2017), he won the championship while playing for CSK in 2018. Raina contributed to Chennai’s four victories in the Indian Premier League.

    #4 Ambati Rayudu (5 titles)

Ambati Rayudu, much like Harbhajan, has won the Indian Premier League with both Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. It was with Mumbai that he won the trophy three times, and it was with Chennai that he won it twice.

Rayudu contributed to the victories of the Indian Premier League in 2013, 2015, and 2017. In the championship game against CSK in 2013, he scored a critical 37, and in the championship game against the same opponents in 2015, he scored an unbeaten 36 off 24.

The 36-year-old batsman had an outstanding season with CSK in 2018, which was the year that they won the championship.

During that season, he scored 602 runs for his team at an average of 43 and a strike rate of 149.75. During the course of the tournament, he also scored a century in a match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). During the previous season, he played in 16 matches for CSK and contributed 257 runs, including two half-centuries.

    #3 Aditya Tare (5 titles)

The inclusion of Aditya Tare on the list was unanticipated. He has been a part of Mumbai’s four Indian Premier League titles (2013, 2015, and 2019, 2020).

Additionally, he won the championship in 2016 while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad. During the 2013 competition, the 34-year-old player, who plays domestic cricket with the Mumbai franchise, amassed 123 runs across five matches, with a high score of 59.

In 2015, he participated in only a few games, and throughout Michigan’s championship runs in 2019 and 2020, he was not even given the opportunity to play a single game.

Even though SRH ended up winning the championship in 2016, Tare only participated in three of the team’s contests. In 2014, he became famous for hitting a six off the penultimate ball against Rajasthan Royals (RR), which helped boost MI into the playoffs. Tare has participated in 35 matches in the Indian Premier League and has scored 339 runs at a strike rate of 124.17.

    #2 Jasprit Bumrah (5 titles)

The fast bowler made his debut for MI in 2013, which was also the first year that the franchise won the Indian Premier League. Even though it was his debut game, he ended up taking three wickets but only played one more game that season.

Even in 2015, he only competed in a total of four battles, during which he won three scalps. However, Bumrah has been an integral part of each of MI’s three most recent victories in the IPL.

He took 20 wickets in 2017, 19 in 2019, and 27 in the 2020 iteration of the competition.

In the championship game of 2017, the 28-year-old bowler had two wickets and 26 runs allowed while leading MI to a nail-biting victory over Rising Pune Supergiant by one run.

He had fantastic statistics of 2 for 14 as MI secured another one-run triumph, this time over archrivals CSK, and he was awarded the Player of the Final award for his performance in 2019. In the final of the 2020 tournament, he did not take a wicket but allowed only 28 runs to be scored while playing against Delhi.

    #1 Rohit Sharma (6 times)

Deccan Chargers were the team that Rohit Sharma won his first championship with.

When it comes to capturing the most trophies in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), that honour belongs to Rohit Sharma.

Since 2009, when he was a player for the Deccan Chargers, he has captained the team that has won the championship five more times: in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020. He has won the championship a total of six times. 2009 was the year that Deccan was victorious, and Rohit played an important cameo role in the film 24.
