Friday’s Australian A-League matchday 13 contest will see Adelaide United host Macarthur FC at Coopers Stadium. The match between the home team and Melbourne Victory, which ended in a 1-1 draw last weekend at the same location, will be their first. Nicholas D’Agostino and Craig Goodwin scored in either half to restore parity at halftime.
With a score of 2-1, the Central Coast Mariners defeated Macarthur FC. Jason Cummings and Marco Tulio scored in the first half to give the visitors a two-goal advantage at the break. 12 minutes into the second half, Matthew Millar cut the deficit in half, but it wasn’t enough for a comeback. The Bulls fell to the bottom of the standings, dropping them to fifth place with 17 points from 12 games. They are one point and one spot behind Adelaide United in the table.

Due to their close proximity to the league table, there is not much between the two teams. Consistency has been a problem for Adelaide United, who have won just one of their last six games. With three victories in their last five league games, Macarthur has fared much better. We expect a low-scoring match to break the jinx that both teams have yet to draw against one another.
Prediction: Adelaide United 1-1 Macarthur
Five confrontations have occurred between the two sides in the past. While neither team has yet played to a draw, Macarthur FC currently holds a 3-2 lead. In their most recent meeting, which took place in October 2022, Macarthur prevailed 2-0 on their own turf. One team has failed to score in three of the five head-to-head encounters.
Neither team has yet lost a home head-to-head match, with Macarthur winning all three games on their own turf while Adelaide United won both games played in front of their fans. With just three goals conceded in their first five games, Adelaide United’s home defense ranks second in the league. There have been at least three goals scored in four of Macarthur’s last five away games.
Due to a fully injury-free team that is ready to play, Adelaide United manager Carl Veart has no fitness concerns going into this match. Dwight Yorke, the manager of Macarthur FC, does not have any concerns regarding his players’ fitness prior to this match because there is a selection that is completely healthy.
The Bulls have arrived in Adelaide for matchday!
