This weekend, in the second round of the FA Cup, AFC Wimbledon of League Two plays Chesterfield of the National League. Chesterfield will be aiming to advance to the next round of the Cup for the second consecutive season after defeating Northampton Town in the first round. They will be up against a Wimbledon team that is one division below them and has advanced to five of the last six third rounds.
Wimbledon, led by Johnnie Jackson, will be quietly optimistic as they reach the halfway point of the season. Jackson was hired on a two-year contract to bring the Dons back to League One, where they had been since 2016. His predecessor, Mark Robinson, had a hand in the Dons’ relegation last season due to their poor league performance. Although Jackson’s team is only 13th in League Two, their form has improved significantly in recent weeks.

Wimbledon’s team is very good, and players like Pell, Assal, and Chislett are the cutting-edge options Jackson has at his disposal.
Cook, on the other hand, is a skilled coach who has a lot of faith in his team’s ability to win.Chesterfield will probably anticipate Wimbledon’s counterattacking thrust, and Cook’s strategy will probably stop both teams from winning at Plough Lane.
This is fantastic, a really touching thing to do in honour of your friend. #AFCW 🟡🔵 https://t.co/BtsvVfMRG3
