    Shreyas Iyer, a star middle-order batsman, will be joining the India squad ahead of the second Test against Australia in Delhi. After recovering from a back injury, according to a statement released by the BCCI.

    Following his injury, Iyer successfully completed his rehabilitation. At the National Cricket Academy and has been cleared by the BCCI Medical Team.

    Going into the second Test on Friday, India holds a 1-0 lead in the four-match series. India batter Shreyas Iyer has been cleared by the BCCI Medical Team.

    After successfully completing his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy following his back injury.

    Shreyas will join the team in New Delhi prior to the second Test of the Mastercard Australia tour of India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, according to a statement from the BCCI.

    Iyer hasn’t played competitive cricket in a month. So it’s not clear if he’ll be put into a Test match right away.

    In a Test, he might have to field for 90 overs. Crouch and stand close to the ball, and then bat for a long time.

    Meanwhile, the Australian men’s cricket team arrived in Delhi on Tuesday for the second of four Border-Gavaskar Trophy Tests against India.

    The first Test since December 2017 will be held in Delhi. India will be hoping to qualify for the World Test Championship Final. Australia will be hoping to win a series in the subcontinent.

    India took a 1-0 lead in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Nagpur. After only two sessions of play on the third day of the first Test.

    India won the Test by innings and 132 runs after expanding their lead to over 200 runs and being bowled out by Australia for 91 in about a session.

    For his bowling figures of 7-81 and 70 runs with the willow. Ravindra Jadeja was named the Player of the Match.

    The win narrows the gap between India and Australia in the World Test Championship standings. Bringing India’s point percentage to 61.67% and Australia’s to 70.83%, respectively.

    In order for Australia to advance to the ICC World Test Championship final at The Oval in June. They must avoid a 4-0 whitewash of India.
