As an alternative to Victor Osimhen, Chelsea has identified an experienced Premier League striker: Reports

Aleksandar Mitrovic, a striker for Fulham, is reportedly being pursued by Chelsea. The experienced Premier League forward thinks he could be a good replacement for the Blues’ top target, Victor Osimhen, who the team is desperate to sign. Todofichajes says that Chelsea’s latest target is striker Mitrovic.

Graham Potter wants to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who hasn’t been at his best this season, by adding a seasoned striker to his team. Osimhen is said to be a top priority for a number of teams this season, but the Blues are unwilling to spend a lot of money again. They’re weighing their options and think the Fulham star is the best choice.

This season, he has scored 11 goals in 19 Premier League games, while Chelsea has only managed 23. However, the striker’s contract with Fulham, which runs through 2026, makes it difficult for the Blues to sign him.

Chelsea is urged to sign a striker from Fulham :

Tony Cascarino, a former striker for Chelsea, stated on talkSPORT earlier this season that Aleksander Mitrovic would be Chelsea’s best striker. He believes Kai Havertz is not capable of leading the club’s front line and wants the team to score more goals. He stated,

“Because Havertz doesn’t set the standard, I’m sure we’ll talk about him in this conversation. He doesn’t do a lot of the things I was taught to do as a center forward, and neither do any other center forwards I know. And Graham Potter is ignorant of that.”

Added he:

“You must also consider Mitrovic’s return; He has performed admirably for them. He holds the ball up even when he plays. Just what Chelsea needs right now in the beginning. Someone to deliver the ball; lay it down and hold it up; occupy the box; take up crosses.”

He went on:

“Mitro does that perfectly, and that’s what you need. I’m sure Potter will say, “I wish I had someone like him.” He’s one of those players you’d love to have on your team. David Fofana was signed by the Blues in January, and Romelu Lukaku will return from his loan at Inter in the summer. Armando Broja is also on their roster, but he is still recovering from an ACL injury.
