Aston Martin: Results Archive. Aston Martin’s original Formula 1 foray lasted for five races only. Well, this, the time it sounds really serious. For the F1 squad, success is not a stranger. They won in their original appearance in Jordan. The recent win was at Racing Point in 2020.

Aston Martin is known for the ability to punch above their weight. They have with them four-time champion in their driver line-up. Aston Martin is undoubtedly a team to eye for.

 2021

They failed to maintain pace with the midfield rivals. Moved down to P7 in the standings. They ended up scoring less than half the points of the 2020 tally.

The highlight of 2021, was Sebastian Vettel’s podium in Azerbaijan. Another highlight was the fifth-place, both at Monaco and Spa. The low point of the year was the disqualification. He got disqualified in P2 in Hungary. The reason was fuel infringement.

2020

The team was back firmly on their feet. The Racing Point scored the first win in the race and was en route to the fourth position in the standings. It happened because of Sergio Perez. He got replaced by Sebastian Vettel for 2021. After this, the squad’s transformation happened to Aston Martin.

2019

After the hangover of 2018’s, the team’s recovery remained slow. Despite the presence of some adventurous drives by the most-reliable Sergio Perez, the position was 7th. Perez scored 52 out of a total of 73 points.

2018

There was a tight intra-team rivalry. It was between stalwart Sergio Perez and Mercedes protege Esteban Ocon. It continued and got dropped at the rear of the midfield. It was due to financial uncertainty, and the build-up of a new owner. It was the new Racing Point name with a new championship entry from Belgian GP, August onwards. They recovered well and ended seventh overall. The rank was achieved even after losing 59 points earned before Spa.
