Atlas enters this match having narrowly defeated Universidad Nacional 2-2 in Liga MX (Clausura). In that game, Atlas had 61% possession and 11 chances to score, two of which were successful. Brian Lozano (43′) and Julián Quiones (87′) scored for Atlas. He had 12 chances to score, five of which were successful.
For Universidad Nacional, Juan Ignacio Dinenno scored 35′ and Diogo de Oliveira scored 45′. Benjamin Mora’s Atlas has scored ten goals in their last six games, giving them an average of 1.67 goals per game. In their previous match, Monterrey defeated Toluca 2-1 in the Liga MX (Clausura) competition.
Monterrey had 34 percent possession and 12 shots on goal in that match, with 5 on target. Alfonso González was the only Monterrey player to score (17′, 31′). Seven of Toluca’s 13 shots were on goal. For Toluca, Maximiliano Arajo scored (62′). The numbers themselves tell a story:
In six of their last six games, Monterrey has allowed seven goals to their opponents. Monterrey hasn’t done a great job of defense. In this meeting, it will be interesting to see if that pattern can continue. In their previous four away league games, Monterrey had not been defeated.

We get the impression that Atlas will need a lot of luck to get a point against Monterrey, who may not do enough to win despite suffering. When there is nothing left to play, we believe Monterrey will win hard-fought 0-1. We want a private and pleasant meeting.
According to a review of their most recent head-to-head matches dating back to 09/01/2021, Atlas has won one of these, Monterrey has won two, and there have been three games that have been tied. During those games, the two teams combined to score nine goals, with three coming from Monterrey and six from Atlas.
As a result, we have an average goal value of 1.5 per game. On September 18, 2022, matchday 15 of Liga MX (Apertura), Monterrey defeated Atlas 2-0 in their previous league matchup. In that match, Monterrey had 53% ball possession and made 16 attempts on goal, four of which were successful.
Sebastián Vegas (79′) and Jess Gallardo (83′) scored the goals. Atlas, on the other hand, had eight of them on goal.
As a result of a group of mostly healthy players, Atlas manager Benjamin Mora only has to deal with one simple fitness issue. Almost all of them are available for the draft. There is no chance of Mauro Manotas.
Victor Vucetich, the manager of Monterrey, has a limited selection of players. Joao Rojas and Edson Gutiérrez are ruled out.
