Santos joined the Blues in January 2023 from Vasco da Gama, however he spent the second half of the season on loan at the Brazilian club.
He joined Stamford Bridge in the summer but was loaned out to Nottingham Forest.
However, he only played 97 minutes in two outings for the Tricky Trees across competitions. He played the full EFL Cup game and only seven minutes in the Premier League.
As a result, Chelsea has recalled Santos from his loan and may send him on another. According to Fichajes.net, Atletico Madrid is interested in signing the Brazilian midfielder to provide depth to their team.
This season, the Spanish heavyweights compete in La Liga, the UEFA Champions League, and the Copa del Rey.
Manager Diego Simeone is said to adore Santos and would like to have him as a midfield rotation option. Atletico Madrid may be interested in signing him on a permanent basis in the summer.
Santos, 19, made 49 professional games for Vasco da Gama before joining Chelsea, scoring nine goals. He also won his senior Brazil cap in March of last year. His deal with the Blues runs out in 2030.
