Drastic changes to India’s XI are not true, according to Rohit Sharma Team India, who is in Trinidad
There may be a temptation for the team management to rotate the group and give opportunities to some other bright players waiting in the wings after the visitors easily won the first Test by an innings and 141 runs.
However, Rohit Sharma, the team captain, believes that just minor adjustments will be made to the starting lineup in order to accommodate the Trinidadian weather. He declared:
When we viewed the surface and were aware of the circumstances in Dominica (the site of the first Test), we had a clear concept. There is uncertainty in this area because rain is mentioned, but I don’t believe there will be significant changes. However, we shall decide depending on the circumstances that are present.
On Thursday, July 20, at 7:30 PM IST, the second Test will start.
Ajinkya Rahane, Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, K.S. Bharat, Ishan Kishan, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur,
Mohammed Siraj, Axar Patel, Mukesh Kumar, Jaydev Unadkat, and Navdeep Saini make up India’s squad for the WI Tests.
