Cheteshwar Pujara, often hailed as “The Wall,” is an Indian cricketer known for his rock-solid batting technique, resilience, and patience at the crease. Born on January 25, 1988, in Rajkot, Gujarat, Pujara has established himself as one of the most reliable batsmen in the Indian cricket team.

Cheteshwar Pujara hit a century in the Duleep Trophy semifinals just days after being left out of India’s Test selection for the West Indies series. Pujara produced a gutsy century to help West Zone comeback after the other batsmen failed to support him. On Day 3, Pujara started his batting from his overnight total of 50, as West Zone continued to lose wickets at the other end.

Cheteshwar Pujara of India made a stunning return in the Duleep Trophy 2023, making a century in the first semi-final match between West Zone and Central Zone. Pujara faced 249 balls and smashed 14 fours as West Zone scored 275 runs in the second inning.

Despite getting removed for 25 runs in the first innings, Pujara scored 52 runs with eight fours and six sixes. He was left out of Team India’s World Test Championship final, although he will play the first Test against the West Indies on July 12 and the second against the West Indies on July 20.

Cheteshwar Pujara’s most memorable performances came during indian’s historic test series win in Australia in 2018-19. He played a pivotal role in the series victory, by scoring three centuries and accumulating 521 runs in four test matches.

Cheteshwar Pujara scored a century in Duleep Trophy, playing 132 innings off 268 balls. He scored 14 fours and a six, despite struggling in the first innings. The team of Best Zone scored 220 runs, while Central Zone’s performance was worse, resulting in 128 runs. West Zone made a comeback in the second innings.

His a Saurashtra lad, achieved triple-hundreds at the Under-14 and Under-19 levels in the early 2000s, resulting in a boom in his popularity. Pujara’s atavistic hitting style and mentality have cemented him as Rahul Dravid’s obvious successor.

Pujara’s approach is bottom-handed, depending on wrists through the ball rather than hitting it with forearms, with a concentration on the longer format. Because of his youthful hands and straight-batted approach, he can play late and close to his body, making him a powerful player in the world of cricket.
