Indian National Cricket Selectors are committee of cricket administrators which is usually composed of former cricket players and appointed by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Their responsibility is to select the member of cricket team for represent India at many levels.
Ajith Agarkar was apointed as Chairman of Senior Men’s selection Committee on 4TH July 2023. Current five man selection committee headed by Ajith Agarkar consist of the Subroto Banerjee, Salil Ankola, Shiv Sundar Das and Sridharan Sharath.
About the Ajit Agarkar
Ajith Agarkar was born on 4th December 1977. He was former Indian cricketer. Ajit has been chairman of BCCI selection committee on 4th July 2023. He represent India in 200 international matches in all the formats. Agarkar is 3rd highest wicket taker for team India in ODI also represent India in 1999, 2003, 2007 World Cup.
He also played IPL for the Delhi Daredevils currently name as Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Rider also. Ajit start his ODI career on 1st April 1998 against Australia. He took the 1st wicket of Adam Gilchrist in that match. On 16th October 2013 he takes retirement from all format of cricket.
