On Monday, March 27, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, Morocco, for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Ethiopia and Guinea will play for the second time in three days.
In their most memorable gathering recently, Guinea beat Ethiopia 2-0. The National Elephants earned all three points thanks to the partnership of Francois Kamano and Mohamed Bayo.
With six points, Guinea is currently second in Group D, level with leaders Egypt but behind on goal difference. The West African team wants to win the AFCON for the third time and finish 13th overall.
Due to a goal difference of -1, Ethiopia, on the other hand, has been relegated to the bottom of the standings. It is absolutely necessary for the Walia Ibex to win in order for them to qualify for the second time in a row.
The experienced forward Oumed Oukri could replace Abel Yalew in manager Wubetu Abate’s lineup, and Ramadan Yusef could return in midfield as well.

Ethiopia could try to take the lead and approach the game with more vigor than they did last time. However, given their lack of genuine quality in comparison to Guinea, they would need a tremendous effort to earn all three points.
The National Elephants could have beaten the Walia Ibex again, but they chose to draw this time.
Prediction: Ethiopia 1-1 Guinea
There have been eight conflicts between the different sides, with Guinea winning multiple times and losing once.
In their last four encounters with Ethiopia, the visitors have prevailed. In the AFCON qualifiers in October 2002, Ethiopia won 1-0 over the hosts.
Friday’s 2-0 victory over Ethiopia was Guinea’s first in three games. Since January 2022, they have not won consecutive games at the AFCON tournament.
For the first time since January 2022, when they lost two consecutive group games at the 2022 AFCON, the hosts run the risk of losing consecutive games.
In Ethiopia’s 2-0 defeat of Guinea, they failed to score for the first time in 11 games. In their two most recent AFCON qualifying games, Guinea has not allowed a goal.
Ethiopia :
Ethiopia is having a good time right now, and at least at home, the team has been doing well. They have gone nine games without losing, but aside from Egypt, they haven’t faced many strong national teams. They still have a chance of qualifying for the tournament ahead of time, but this game may end that chance.
Guinea:
Overall, Guinea has performed admirably, but not on the road. Because the majority of their games have been difficult, they should take advantage of this opportunity to win against a weaker national team. Ethiopia is ranked 138th, while Guinea is ranked 83rd globally. If Guinea wins this game, we anticipate that they will advance to the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying round.
