The Lakers are dominating, and LeBron is back?
After missing five games due to a groin injury, LeBron James had a successful comeback, averaging 30.0 PPG, 9.5 RPG, 4.0 APG, 4.0 3PG, 2.0 SPG, and 1.0 BPG. James returned just in time for Anthony Davis to take a seat and tend to a calf problem. Davis had at least 24 points and at least 14 rebounds in each of the six games prior to his absence on Saturday.
During that span, he averaged 31.8 PPG, 17.0 RPG, 2.7 BPG, 2.5 APG, and 2.0 SPG. Most astonishingly, he averaged zero three-point field goals a game during that time, doing all of his damage inside the arc, which may have contributed to his 61.7 field goal percentage.

The Warriors have now won two of their last three games away from home, including Sunday’s 23-point thrashing in Minnesota, after opening the season 0-7 on the road. Furthermore, the squad that unpredictably started the season with a 6-9 record through 15 games has already won five of its last six games, with its lone defeat coming in the contest in which they rested all of its starters.
Two of the team’s oldest players are the largest new contributors to the significant turnaround. During that time, Klay Thompson’s shooting form has improved, while Draymond Green (available in 20.4% of leagues) has averaged 11.0 PPG, 8.6 APG, 5.8 RPG, 1.2 BPG, 0.8 3PG, and 0.6 SPG. During that stretch, Thompson recorded his first 40-point performance of the year while averaging 24.0 PPG (53.8 FG%, 80.0 FT%), 5.6 3PG, 3.0 RPG, 1.6 APG, and 1.2 SPG.
Milton and Melton help the 76ers overcome their problems.
Tyrese Maxey joined James Harden (foot) on the sidelines after breaking a foot bone five games ago. Joel Embiid’s foot led him to miss four games as well. Nevertheless, the Philadelphia 76ers have triumphed in three of their last four contests, with their victory at Orlando, Florida, on Sunday is the highlight.
Tobias Harris has performed admirably during those four games, averaging 22.8 PPG (51.3 FG%, 88.9 FT%), 6.5 RPG, 3.3 APG, 1.3 3PG, and 0.8 SPG, but the 76ers’ new backcourt has been the true story. The leader over his last five games has been Shake Milton (available in 85.2% of leagues), who has averaged 23.6 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 6.6 APG, 2.6 3PG, and 0.8 SPG in 38.6 MPG.
