Nathaniel Mendez-Laing is a former Portsmouth and Cardiff Forward leaving Sheffield Wednesday. According to reports, the 30-year-old has rejected a new contract offer by Cardiff and is planning to leave Hillsborough, Sheffield. There has been speculation of interest from the Championship, with Wigan showing interest in traveled striker. Mendez-Laing just signed with the Owls in November 2021, initially on a one-year agreement. However, the contract extended until he scored two goals and added three assists in 19 games.
Will Vaulks, a transfer target for Sheffield Wednesday, is on his way out of Cardiff City. Following the expiration of his contract, the Wales international will depart the Championship club at the end of June. Vaulks made 117 appearances for Rotherham United during his three-year stay at the club, scoring 11 goals. Cardiff’s Twitter account issued a parting message to Vaulks. The Bluebirds released a statement that said, “An amazing individual with a rocket of a shot; Diolch, Will.”
