The Sri Lanka Cricket Board (SLC) will organize the third iteration of the franchise cricket league, the Lanka Premier League 2022, which is scheduled to take place in December 2023. The Jaffna Kings and the Galle Gladiators will meet in the tournament’s opening match on December 6. The Lanka Premier League 2022 final is scheduled for December 23.
There are five teams in total in the Lanka Premier League 2022. They go by the names Colombo Stars, Kandy Falcons, Dambulla Giants, and Jaffna Kings. There will be a total of 24 matches played in the Lanka Premier League 2022. Twenty of these matches will be played in the league stage.
The top four teams in the points table will compete in the playoffs following the league stage. The teams that finished first in the playoffs will meet in the final.
