This Tuesday will see the start of the inaugural “SA20” franchise T20 league, which is run by Cricket South Africa. The competition will feature six teams, including the Durban Super Giants, Pretoria Capitals, MI Cape Town, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Joburg Super Kings, and Paarl Royals. From January 10 to February 11, the tournament will feature 33 games.
Find out in advance where the Live Telecast of SA20 2023 will be held in India. MI Cape Town will play Paarl Royals at the Newlands stadium in the inaugural SA20 season’s first match. The entire season will be hosted at a total of six venues across South Africa. The league stage of the competition will be played in a round-robin format, with each team facing the remaining teams twice.
The four teams with the most points at the end of the league stage will advance to the semifinals. Currently, the South African team is in Australia for a three-match Test series. In order to make room for the inaugural SA20, an ODI series that had been scheduled following the tests has been postponed.
As a result, the Proteas will resume playing in the league on January 8 after the conclusion of the test series. In order to accommodate the three-match ODI series between South Africa and England, there will be a week’s break midway through the tournament. The competition will resume on February 2 following the JSK vs. DSG matchup on January 24.
