On Wednesday, December 7, on matchday 19 of the Spanish Segunda Division, SD Huesca will host FC Andorra at the Estadio El Alcoraz. The hosts have just lost to Eibar, 2-1, on Saturday. Daniel Escriche’s goal in the 34th minute gave Huesca the lead, but Eibar won thanks to a penalty kick in the 84th minute and an own goal by Ruben Pulido in the final minute.
In the meantime, Andorra lost to Cartagena SAD 1-0 at home. In the third minute of injury time, Isak Jansson came off the bench to score the winning goal with literally his first kick. Els Tricolors fell to eighth place in the standings after scoring 27 points in 18 games with the loss. In contrast, Huesca is 11th, three points behind them.

Since Gerard Pique purchased Andorra, the country’s fortunes have improved. Since their first-ever promotion to the Segunda Division last season, they have had a significant impact. The Catalan team is within striking distance of qualifying for the playoffs, but they will need to step it up against a Huesca team that has been one of the league’s most consistent home performers. In the event of a low-scoring draw, the two teams might cancel each other out.
Prediction: Huesca 1-1 FC Andorra
The two teams will meet for the third time in a competitive matchup. Each of them has one victory. In a friendly match that took place in August 2022, Huesca prevailed 3-1. Huesca has lost four of their last six games, going winless in all competitions. Andorra’s three-game winning streak ended when they lost to Cartagena.
At least one team has failed to score in 11 of Andorra’s last 12 competitive games. Huesca’s last seven home games have delivered two objectives or less, with six games creating one objective or less. Huesca has won five of their eight home games, drawing three, to remain unbeaten in all competitions. Andorra has dominated their keep-going three matches out and about.
