Complete List of World Cup Hosts
The first Time World Cup was held in 1975 and was hosted by England. Similarly, In 1979, and 1983, England hosted the world cup consecutively. Thereafter, The Scenario has been changed. hence, we will discuss in the following statement-

1983 World Cup Host
In 1983, the ICC World Cup was hosted by England and Wales co-hosted. There was a total of 27 matches were held in that particular tournament. The majority of matches were held in England (26), with Wales also having the opportunity to host one match. Interestingly, India had bid to host the tournament but lost out to the joint bid by England and Wales.

1987 World Cup Host
The 1987 World Cup was hosted by the two countries India and Pakistan. Both countries hosted the ICC World Cup. Pakistan organized 10 matches while India organized 17 matches. England had initially expressed interest in hosting the tournament, but ultimately backed out, paving the way for India and Pakistan to take up the hosting duties.
1992: World Cup Host
In the 1983 World Cup, Australia and New Zealand Jointly hosted the complete tournament successfully. In this tournament, a total of 39 matches was held. wherein, New Zealand hosted 14 matches and Australia hosted 25 matches.
This World Cup was something different in comparison. Because this year players enter with colorful dresses.
Additionally, this World Cup was the first to be held in the Southern Hemisphere and included South Africa, which was reinstated as a Test-playing nation following the end of apartheid. Unlike previous editions, there was a gap of five years between this World Cup and the previous World Cup.
1996: World Cup Host
In the 1996 World Cup, The ICC Cricket World Cup back to the Indian subcontinent as co-host between India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. India hosted 17 matches, Pakistan hosted 16 matches and Sri Lanka hosted 4 matches.
1999: World Cup Host
In the 1999 World Cup, There were hosting matches by England, Scotland, The Republic of Ireland, The Netherlands, and Wales. In this tournament, a total of 42 matches were conducted wherein, 38 matches were hosted by England while the remaining matches were hosted by the remaining countries above.
2003: World Cup Host
In the 2003 World Cup, South Africa hosted the tournament with 54 matches. The hosting rights were awarded to South Africa on the basis of factors combination.
The 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup was the 8TH installment of the tournament, co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Kenya from 9 February to 23 March 2003. It was the first World Cup played in Africa.
2007: World Cup Host
This was the 9th edition of the ICC World Cup and it was hosted by the Caribbean nations collectively known as Cricket West Indies.
This tournament had 51 matches. Apart from this, the Bahamas, Bermuda, And the United States had shown interest in hosting but were not selected.
2011: World Cup Host
In the 2011 World Cup, This edition was hosted by the 3 different countries including India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. If talk about the matches India hosted 29 matches, Sri Lanka hosted 12 and Bangladesh Hosted 8.
Apart from this, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, and The United Arab Emirates were among the nations that bid for the hosting rights.
2015: World Cup Host
This tournament was hosted by Australia and New Zealand jointly. Wherein, Australia Hosted 26 matches, and New Zealand hosted 23.
After losing the bid for the 2011 World Cup, hosting rights were awarded to Australia and New Zealand. This was the second time the tournament was held in Australia and New Zealand, the first being the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
2019: World Cup Host
This edition of the ICC World Cup Was hosted by England and Wales. In this tournament, a Total 48 number of matches were held. England hosted 44 matches, and Wales hosted only 4. The hosting rights were awarded as per the rotational policy.
2023: World Cup Host
This tournament is completely hosted by India. In this tournament, a Total 48 number of matches will be held in various states or Cities of the country. This edition will start from 5th October 2019.
2024: World Cup Host
