    The Indians battled back from a deficit of 0-2, and the doubles team of Dhruv Kapila, Chirag Shetty, and PV Sindhu brought the scores level after losing the first two matches.

    India defeated Hong Kong 3-2 in a remarkable comeback to advance to the semifinals of the Asia Mixed Team Badminton Championships and win its first continental medal on Friday.

    The Indians battled back from a deficit of 0-2, and the doubles team of Dhruv Kapila, Chirag Shetty, and PV Sindhu brought the scores level after losing the first two matches.

    The mixed doubles team of Ishaan Bhatnagar and Tanisha Crasto fought hard in the first match, but they lost to Lee Chun Hei Reginald and Tsz Yau NG 24-26, 17-21, to give Hong Kong a 1-0 lead.

    With a hard-fought 20-22, 21-16, 21-11 victory over Tang Chun Man and Yeung Shing Choi, the men’s doubles team of Kapila and Shetty regained the lead for India.

    Two-time Olympic medalist Sindhu had to work hard in the women’s singles match to defeat Saloni Samirbhai Mehta 16-21 21-7 21-9 and even the score at 2-2.

    Teresa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand clinched the tie in the women’s doubles by defeating Tsz Yau NG and Wing Yung NG 21-13 21-12 in the decider.
