India To Play 61 T20Is, Host 2026 World Cup

India To Play 61 T20Is, Host 2026 World Cup: The Indian Premier League will play a five-Test series with Australia by 2024. The Indian Premier League got bigger this past year with the inclusion of two new teams. Now we have to get longer.

With an increased window, the International Cricketers’ Association (ICC) has made it easier for cricket fans to watch and partake in the sport. The increased window was introduced this year with some interesting changes – including an even more exciting tour for Cricket South Africa.

Kim Richardson, the ICC’s head of cricket, said the game is constantly evolving and they will work together to figure out how to best adapt.

Wasim Khan said that we are committed to growing the game and giving more fans more opportunities to enjoy cricket, but we’re very mindful of the need to balance our ambition with the welfare of players. He added that Pakistan Super League will conflict with Indian Premier League because they have a crowded schedule and it will be interesting to see how BCCI and PCB find a resolution to the issue.

As a part of their tour commitments into the following five years, India’s males’s crew will play 138 bilateral worldwide matches during the course of this five-year period. They will participate in 38 Tests, 39 ODIs and 61 T20Is – an increase within the variety of T20s likely indicates how that sport is going. The ODI bilaterals will largely be three-match collections.

After seeing the success of the India-Australia series that resulted in a winner being decided on the final day, it was decided to make the Border-Gavaskar Trophy a five-Test series.

India will not tour Australia again until 2024-25, with a four-Test series as per the previous cycle. India’s subsequent large tour Down Under in 2024-25 will have five Tests. For the primary time since 1991, these two teams will play a five-Test series.

Former Australia captain Ricky Ponting believes it will be a fantastic initiative to see Test matches between Australia and India. All the players are sure to enjoy it as well, according to Ponting.

The BCCI should be careful not to wear out the tune of IPL stakeholders and the public through sheer saturation. The golden goose needs to be protected and not slaughtered before its time.

The India-Pakistan five-Test series will be taking place from Jan-March 2024, in opposition to England. But the frustration for the cricket lovers is that there are no India-Pakistan Test matches scheduled on this FTP cycle. However, they will journey to West Indies (July-Aug 2023) and host Bangladesh for a two-Test collection in September 2024.

Even when the Cricket World Cup, especially the Tests are of higher priority, India will be playing a lot of One-Day Internationals before the tournament begins in India. They will play as many as 27 One-Day Internationals before beginning with Zimbabwe on Thursday.

Champions Trophy will make a comeback in 2025, and details to the first ICC tournament to happen in Pakistan since 1996. The other T20 World Cup will be hosted by the West Indies and USA in 2024, India and Sri Lanka in 2026, respectively.
