At the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday, India and Bangladesh will play each other in the opening One-Day International. As the 2023 ODI World Cup draws near, the three-match series will be important for both countries. India just lost 0-1 to New Zealand in an ODI series plagued by rain, but Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul are all expected to return.
Liton Das will assume leadership of the squad for the series in place of Tamim Iqbal, who will be absent from Bangladesh due to a groyne injury. Taskin Ahmed, a pacer, will not play in the opening ODI, and Shoriful Islam has been added to the roster.
