India and New Zealand will compete against one another in the second Twenty20 International on Sunday (January 29). Team India suffered a significant defeat in the first Twenty20 International in Ranchi, and the hosts will be eager to rebound and regain parity in Lucknow.
At the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium, the New Zealanders, buoyed by their first victory on the India Tour, will try to win the T20I series between India and New Zealand. Hardik Pandya will attempt to extend his T20I series winning streak in Lucknow.
So far, the all-rounder has done an excellent job organizing his troops and remaining composed under pressure. Rahul Tripathi, Shubman Gill, Shivam Mavi, Mukesh Kumar, and Prithvi Shaw are a few of the talented young players Hardik Pandya would be eager to use.
New Zealand defeated the Indian team on Friday to take a 1-0 series lead. After India decided to bat first, New Zealand’s openers saw strong starts from Devon Conway (52 off 35) and Finn Allen (35 off 23). However, Daryl Mitchell (59 points out of 30) quickly dominated the team.
Daryl Mitchell scored 27 runs in the final over, bringing the total to 176 runs. Even though the Indian batsmen scored a respectable total, they lost early wickets. With his 47 off 34, Suryakumar Yadav swung the momentum in India’s favor, but wickets started falling as soon as he was run out.
The Men in Blue lost by 21 runs despite Washington Sundar’s perseverance all the way to the end and the fifty runs he scored.
That's that from Ranchi.
