The Indian Premier League, which will be sponsored by the TATA company, will play its 16th season in 2023. The IPL auction for the current season ended on December 23rd in Kochi. The player with the highest bid was Sam Curran, who was purchased by Punjab Kings for 18.50 crore, making him the most expensive player in IPL history.

All ten IPL teams have been confirmed following the player’s action. On February 17, 2023, the IPL 2023 schedule was made public. According to it, there will be 70 league matches and four playoff matches. The league games will take place from March 31 to May 21 of 2023, and the schedule for the four playoff games will be announced later.

The final game will take place on May 28 of 2023. During the league phase of the tournament, 10 franchises will play 7 home matches and 7 away matches, and the 16th season will be played at 12 different locations by 10 teams.
