Ipswich Town will continue its FA Cup run on Sunday when it hosts Buxton FC at Portman Road (November 27). Ipswich Town travelled to Bracknell Town for the opening of their FA Cup campaign despite having a solid start to the League One season. Even though they were in the lead for automatic promotion, it took them till the hour mark to surpass their competitors from the seventh tier. The Tractor Boys took the lead thanks to an own goal by David Bayliss, but goals by Freddie Ladapo and Panutche Camara in the closing 20 minutes helped them win winning 3-0 and moving on to the next round.
The League One team will attempt to resume its winning ways this weekend after being eliminated from the EFL Cup. Ipswich lost to Portsmouth 2-0 on Tuesday, eliminating them from the tournament in the second round. Prior to it, Kieran McKenna’s team had gone six games undefeated, winning four games and drawing two.
Ipswich has recently returned to the FA Cup, where they easily advanced beyond the first round on November 7 thanks to a 3-0 victory against Bracknell Town. Buxton was also eliminated from the EFL Cup previous time around after losing 4-2 to Blyth Spartans. They have now dropped their previous three contests, including losses to Banbury United and Scarborough Athletic in the National League North on consecutive weekends. Buxton enters this match with a streak of four victories in their previous six away games and will aim to keep up this strong road performance.

Ipswich faces an amateur Buxton team that has dropped its past three games, and they enter the match as clear favourites. The difference in talent and experience between the two squads should allow Ipswich to defeat the guests and resume its winning ways.
