Khelo India Youth Games is going to be held for the fourth time. There are many players who have been selected for youth games, Later they also played in the Olympics. Hariyana is going to host KIYG 2021. Bajrang Punia, Ravi Dahiya, and Neeraj Chopra, who won three individual medals, are from Haryana.
Govt. is going to set up 550 gymnasiums in rural areas. Recruitment of 1000 yoga teachers. The medal is fixed for the winner. There is a 10 percent reservation in Group D and 3 percent in Group C. Bhim Award winners will get an honorarium of Rs 5000 per month.
‘KIYG-2021’ is organising jointly by the State Government, Sports Authority of India (SAI), and Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports from June 4 to June 13, 2022.
Haryana is going to host the fourth season of the Khelo India Youth Games-2021. Chief Minister Manohar Lal attended the launching ceremony as the chief guest. Union Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs, and Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur attended as a special guest.
The tournament will start on June 4 and finish on June 13, 2022. CM Manohar Lal said that the dates of Khelo India fixed thrice but canceled due to Covid-19. Now it will start from 4th June. The CM said that there will be no shortage of any kind in the sports competition. We have done the mapping. From district level to block level. 500 nurseries in Haryana which closed at the time of Covid. Now It is going to restart. Their number will be increasing.
The grand event will see 25 sports events, including 5 traditional games like Gatka, Kalaripayattu, Thang-Ta, Malkhamb, and Yogasan. These games will play in Panchkula, Ambala, Shahbad, Chandigarh, and Delhi.
8000 players will participate
More than 8,000 athletes will participate in the Khelo India Youth Games-2021. Several multipurpose halls, and synthetic tracks constructed for the tournament.
The magnificent hockey stadium is ready in Panchkula and Shahbad. In addition, an all-weather swimming pool built in Ambala.
