In the last four weeks, Macarthur has won three of its five games this season. This season, they have not scored in any of their four home games. Meanwhile, the Mariners’ recent performances have improved. They have scored 11 goals and only given up three in their five games, earning four victories. Another close game could occur between the two teams, as their previous encounters have been evenly matched; however, the visitors should win by a sliver of a margin.
Prediction: Macarthur 1-2 Central Coast Mariners
Since 2021, the two rivals from New South Wales have only met eight times. 4-3 Central Coast is ahead. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in their last three meetings, with Macarthur winning the last one 3-2 on the road in November. This season, Macarthur has scored 15 goals in 11 games, while Central Coast has the best offensive record in the A-League with 24 goals in 11 games.
In three of their last five games, the hosts have scored less than 2.5 goals and at least one team has kept a clean sheet. Over 2.5 goals have been scored in four of Central Coast’s last five league games, and they have scored at least twice in four of those games. Central Coast has won two of the three meetings between the two teams at Macarthur, which have ended in victories for Central Coast.
It's match day Mariners fans! Who else is excited for some Friday night football! 🙋
