Manchester United welcome Everton to kick off the first FA Cup run under Erik ten Hag as the Red Devils look to secure their first piece of silverware in six years – the longest they have gone without a trophy since 1983. United have reached the quarter-finals eight times in the last 10 years and with the league out of reach, Ten Hag has the perfect chance to bring some glory in his debut season.
United are the favourites going into this tie at 4/11 with Betfred while the Toffees are 8/1 and a draw is 7/2 ahead of the FA Cup clash. This will be the 13th meeting between the two sides with both sides achieving six wins in that time and the first time they will face in the third round of the competition.
The Red Devils will be looking to translate their current form in the Premier League to the weekend’s cup competition as they sit in the top four and two points ahead of fifth-place Tottenham Hotspur.
While United can surely expect a reaction from Everton following their abysmal 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Brighton, they have been far too good at Old Trafford this season to imagine there will be an upset.
Manchester United to win, 3-0.
As expected Manchester United leads the overall head-to-head chart by a big margin. But in the last 10 matches, their battles have been balanced.

Ten Hag was coy about Donny van de Beek’s fitness following the nasty-looking injury the Dutchman unfortunately picked up against Bournemouth. Whatever the eventual outcome, it seems unlikely the midfielder would play after such a blow amid a tight turnaround.
Anthony Martial, however, is likely to be available despite coming off injured against the Cherries. Antony should return, though Jadon Sancho remains out along with the likes of Axel Tuanzebe.
For Everton, Amadou Onana is available after suspension and Ben Godfrey could return to the side, while Anthony Gordon may make a push following a recent bout of illness.
Nathan Patterson, Michael Keane and Andros Townsend are all out, along with former United midfielder James Garner. Dominic Calvert-Lewin faces a late fitness test.
De Gea; Dalot, Varane, L Martinez, Shaw; Casemiro, Eriksen; Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford; Martial
Pickford; Coleman, Coady, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Iwobi, Gueye, Onana; McNeil, Calvert-Lewin, Gray
