On Tuesday, March 21 at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in match number 19 of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023. Despite having qualified for the playoffs, Mumbai will be eager to regain their winning momentum after suffering consecutive defeats to the Delhi Capitals (DC) and UP Warriorz (UPW).
In the two previous matches, MI’s strong batting lineup has let them down. In the wake of overseeing just 127 against UP, they were held to 109/8 by Delhi in the match on Monday. Against RCB, players like captain Harmanpreet Kaur, Hayley Matthews, Nat Sciver-Brunt, and Yastika Bhatia will want to get back into the runs. Mumbai doesn’t want to lose a lot going into the playoffs.

Monday’s three-wicket victory for UP over Gujarat Giants (GG) eliminated RCB from contention for the WPL 2023 playoffs. However, Smriti Mandhana and co. will want to end on a high note. They have won their last two matches in great style. A hat trick of victories would be a good way for Bangalore to end a campaign that was very disappointing.
The Mumbai Indians have decided to field first after winning the toss.
