Mikel Arteta yelled at two Arsenal players During the draw with Sporting CP

Mikel Arteta is a Spanish professional football manager and former player who is currently in charge of Arsenal, a Premier League club.
He was hired by Manchester City as Pep Guardiola’s assistant coach after retiring. He returned to Arsenal in 2019 as head coach, where he won the FA Cup in his first year. In September 2020, his title was changed to the manager to reflect his larger role at the club.

On August 31, 2011, Arteta agreed to a four-year contract with Arsenal for a reported fee of £10 million. He made his Arsenal debut on September 10 in a 1–0 home victory over Swansea City[27], and he scored his first Premier League goal in a 4–3 defeat at Ewood Park against Blackburn Rovers. In the Gunners’ third-round FA Cup victory over Leeds United, where Thierry Henry made his second Arsenal debut, Arteta got his first chance to lead the team.

During Arsenal’s match against Sporting CP, manager Mikel Arteta had a brief argument with Ben White and Bukayo Saka.

On Thursday, March 9, the Gunners and the Portuguese giants clashed in the first leg of their UEFA Europa League Round of 16 matchups. At the Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon, a fun game ended 2-2.
Sporting won a goal kick toward the end of the game. White, a right back, and Saka, a right winger, who started the game, looked worn out as they stumbled back.

TBR Football claims that Arteta reacted angrily to this. Before the hosts could take advantage of the space they had left behind, the Arsenal manager yelled at the pair to move back into position. They accelerated their steps in response to those screams.

White and Saka both had tough games on Thursday as Sporting stopped most of the Gunners’ attacks from the right flank. The former completed 94% of his passes and laid out a crucial pass, but he was also dribbled past twice. White won only one of his five duels too and finished no peevish or long balls.

In contrast, Saka won 12 of his 15 ground duels and completed eight of his nine dribbles with two shots on target. Sporting, however, restricted his touches inside and outside the box.

Arsenal took the lead, then came back to draw 2-2 with Sporting CP

Arsenal took the lead, then came back to draw 2-2 with Sporting CP in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday. Arsenal had to come back from a goal down to draw 2-2 with Sporting CP.

After converting a corner kick from Fabio Vieira in the 22nd minute, the Gunners notably took the lead. Nonetheless, Goncalo Inacio balanced for the Portuguese side 12 minutes after the fact with a short proximity header of his own

Sporting started the final part well and endured a couple of assaults from the guests prior to starting to lead the pack in the 55th moment. After Matt Turner made a good save to keep Pedro Goncalves out, Paulinho scored with a header.

Within seven minutes, Mikel Arteta’s team came up with a strong response and leveled the score. When Hidemasa Morito tried to stop Granit Xhaka from passing the ball, he ended up putting the ball in the back of his own net.

A few more times, Arsenal came close, but Sporting goalkeeper Antonio Adan stopped them, and the game ended level. It sets up a tempting second leg at the Emirates on Walk 16 with Europa League quarterfinal spots up for grabs.
