At the Miloud Hadefi Stadium on Tuesday, Niger and Cameroon will play their final group-stage game of the African Nations Championship. Both teams have everything to lose in this one, including a spot in the CHAN quarterfinals in 2023, which should make for a riveting contest.
With a 1-0 win over the Leopards of Congo on Monday evening in Oran, Cameroon got off to the perfect start in their CHAN campaign. Jerome Ngom Mbekeli’s goal in the 63rd minute gave Alioum Saidou’s team the lead despite being in control for the majority of the match.
The Indomitable Lions have won their subsequent two matches in 2023 by a combined score of 3-0 after drawing their first two games. The challenge of an opposing team, which has only lost one of the previous four meetings between the teams across all competitions, lies ahead.
Cameroon, who are currently leading their group heading into the final matchday, remain in command and need only avoid defeat to ensure safe passage into the knockout phase.

The global determinations of Niger and Cameroon will confront each other on Tuesday at the Miloud Hadefi Arena for a round of the third round of African Countries Title. Cameroon leads the tournament with three points, while Niger is in second place in Group E with one point.
Prediction: Niger 0-1 Cameroon
In their first Group E matchup on Friday against Congo, Niger Republic could only manage a goalless draw for a share of the spoils. Throughout the match, Harouna Doula’s team failed to score, and they owe it to their goalkeeper that they didn’t lose.
As a consequence of this, the Dama Gazelle have lost six of their last seven matches since defeating Togo 3-1 in their final CHAN qualifier. Worryingly, Niger has failed to score in five of the previous six games, indicating an area that requires immediate attention.
It would not come as a surprise for Harouna Doula to change his options up front as he tries to get Niger back on track after their recent defensive woes. Mossi Moussa and Yacine Laba, who only made brief appearances last time out, might see their chances of making a comeback in this situation.
Jerome Ngom Mbekeli has already proven his worth when given the opportunity to play for the Cameroon national team at the World Cup in 2022, and he will be hoping to do so once more. nSaidou Ibrahim, who is 21 years old, put in a strong shift against Congo, which should keep him in the starting lineup for this game.
