The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are almost unbeatable at home, but their previous IPL match in 2023 against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) ended in defeat. The Men in Yellow will hope to get back to winning ways at Chepauk when they take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 29 of IPL 2023 on Friday, April 21. The Super Kings are in third place in the standings with a respectable net run rate and three wins from five matches. They would be legitimate playoff contenders this year if they win, bringing them level on points with the two teams above them in the table.
However, Hyderabad’s campaign thus far has been disappointing. The Orange Army started the competition as one of the favorites to finish in the top two, but they lost their first two games and then lost by two points to the Mumbai Indians (MI) at home.

Clearly, spin is CSK’s greatest domestic strength, which SRH has the resources to counter.

Hyderabad really do have some fantastic twist hitters as Abhishek Sharma and Heinrich Klaasen, and captain Markram has significantly progressed his game in that area. However, they might have a hard time competing with spinners of the caliber of Moeen Ali, Maheesh Theekshana, and Ravindra Jadeja.
Devon Conway, Ajinkya Rahane, and Ruturaj Gaikwad have supported the Super Kings’ top three. Conway and Rahane have made sure that the powerplay has been used to its full potential, despite the fact that Gaikwad has failed in each of the last two matches.

However, SRH may not have what it takes to defeat CSK at home due to the fact that key batters are underperforming and Sundar is far off the pace in IPL 2023. Dhoni and co. are well-positioned to reclaim their Chepauk victory.
