In an effort to rebound from their most recent setback, Queens Park Rangers will take on Luton Town at the Loftus Road Stadium on Thursday, December 29 in the EFL Championship. Monday’s goalless draw against Cardiff City marked the seventh time in their last eight games that the Hoops have failed to win.
That made clear how important the job was for Neil Critchley, who took over for Michael Beale, who was leaving Rangers. QPR was reeling from four losses in a row when Critchley took over, but in his first game in charge, they defeated Preston North End 1-0. However, the draw to Cardiff demonstrated that there is still a lot of work to be done.
Luton Town, on the other hand, won 2-1 against Norwich City on Monday to end their three-game losing streak and get their season back on track. Teemu Pukki equalized for the Canaries eight minutes later after Allan Campbell scored in the 61st minute for the Hatters.
After Gabriel Osho was sent off in the 80th minute, Luton’s situation got worse, but Cauley Woodrow scored in the 89th to keep them alive.

The campaigns of QPR and Luton have been almost identical. Although the Hatters have the ability to draw the match, the Hoops have not lost to Luton at home in nearly four decades.
Prediction: Queens Park Rangers 1-1 Luton
They have met 103 times before, with QPR winning 42 and the Hatters winning 32 of those matches. In October, Luton defeated QPR 3-1 in their first match of the season, their first victory in the match in eight games since a 1-0 FA Cup victory in January 2007.
Since losing to Luton 3-2 in October 1984, QPR has not lost in 14 league games played at home. Luton wants to beat the Hoops twice in the league for the first time since 1984-85. QPR has lost three of their last four league games at home.
