Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB-W) will take on the Mumbai Indians (MI-W) in the 19th game of the Women’s Premier League 2023 on Tuesday (March 21) at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai. Both teams have had an opposite run this season and will be looking to end the group stage on a positive note.
Mumbai started with five back-to-back wins and became the first team to qualify for the playoffs. However, two successive losses in the last two games have pushed them to the second position in the points table. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will now have to win this game with a huge margin and then hope that Delhi Capitals don’t win their last group stage game later this evening.
The first five wins came on the back of a superb batting performance from the top order. The same has not happened in the last two games, so the team has suffered. Saika Ishaque, one of the finds of this season, picked 12 wickets in the first four games and helped change the course of matches on her own. But, she has failed to pick a wicket in the last two games, which has also been one of the reasons for Mumbai’s dreadful recent run.

The first three games at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai were high-scoring, as the team batting first posted totals in excess of 200 runs twice. However, the pitch has improved for the bowlers in the recent few games as a total of 150 runs has been scored only once in the last six matches. The pitch will have something for both the batters and the bowlers in this game.
All matches of the Women’s Premier League 2023 will be streamed by the JioCinema digitally and on Sports 18 on the TV network.
