This week, the Serie A returns to action with another round of games, with Spezia taking on Sassuolo in a crucial match at the Stadio Citta del Tricolore on Friday.
Spezia, who are 17th in the Serie A standings and have not performed at their best thus far this season, are currently in that position. The away team, which beat Inter Milan 2-1 last week, will be upbeat going into this game.
On the other hand, Sassuolo is currently in 13th place in the league table and has been inconsistent thus far this season. In their previous match, the Neroverdi edged out AS Roma to win 4-3, and they will try to do the same this week.

Sassuolo is currently one of the league’s most formidable teams and is in impressive form. The Neroverdi will try to build on their impressive run and have a good team at their disposal.
This season, Spezia has struggled, but their victory over Inter Milan last week gave them hope. On paper, Sassuolo appears to be the superior team, and they should be able to win this game.
Prediction: Sassuolo 3-1 Spezia
Sassuolo has won six of the last nine games they’ve played against Spezia, while Spezia has only won once. Sassuolo has had a good record against Spezia lately. In Serie A, Sassuolo has won just one of their last five matches against Spezia, but they have avoided defeat in four of those matches.
Each of Sassuolo and Spezia’s last five Serie A games has resulted in at least one goal, with 21 goals scored in those five games. In their last seven Serie A games, Sassuolo has scored 16 points. Only Napoli has a better record over this time period.
For the first time since April 2021, Sassuolo could win four consecutive Serie A games after winning their last three contests. Spezia could win consecutive league games for the first time since January 2022 after defeating Inter Milan last week.
Armand Lauriente, Andrea Pinamonti, and Domenico Berardi have only been able to make a few starts in attack together due to injury and poor discipline; however, after each of them scored against Roma, all three are likely to be available once more and are full of confidence.
Ruan Tressoldi of Sassuolo, who was sent off in his first game of the season, is suspended once more after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season over the weekend. Simone Bastoni, a fullback from Spezia who was born in Ligurian, has been out since January with a meniscal injury.
Fellow defender Joao Moutinho was one of the team’s winter acquisitions, but he hasn’t played in the league yet because of a foot problem. Emil Holm will be out until April with a tendon problem. After Maldini and Albin Ekdal made such a positive impact off the bench against Inter, Semplici might be tempted to start Maldini and Ekdal.
