Shikhar Dhawan and the team make a big mistake in the last match, ICC fined the entire team

The first match of the 3-match ODI series between India and the West Indies was starts on 22 July, Under the leadership of Shikhar Dhawan.

Team India won 2 matches out of 3 now team India grasp this series where many young players show their performance.

The Indian team won that match by 3 runs, but in the first ODI match, Shikhar Dhawan made a big mistake. For which the whole team had to pay the fine.

Captain Shikhar Dhawan was found guilty of slow overrate in the first match. Due to this, the ICC has fined 20 percent of the match fee.

Match referee Richie Richardson found that the Indian team, led by Shikhar, bowled an over short of the stipulated time.

After which he imposed this fine. The International Cricket Council tell in a statement,

“Under Rule 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct book for Players and Players’ Support Staff on Minimum Over Rates, players get charge by 20 percent of their match fees for each over bowled less than their team’s stipulated time”.

Team India won 2 matches under Shikhar Dhawan

Under the captaincy of Dhawan, Team India has captured the series by winning the first two matches of the 3-match ODI series.

In the second ODI, West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran won the toss and start the match with the bat first. West Indies make 311 runs on the board for the loss of 6 wickets after 50 overs of play.

In response to this target, India won this match with 2 balls left and at the loss of 8 wickets.

Shreyas Iyer made 63 runs, Sanju Samson make 54 runs, and Axar Patel remained unbeaten on 64 runs for Team India which give victory.

Axar Patel become the Player of the Match award for this match-winning innings.

Axar Patel becomes a man of the match in the last ODI match where Shreyas Iyer and Shubhman Gill play well.
