The last one decade has seen cricket globalize with the formation of leagues in virtually every country on the planet. The difference between Australia and other nations is that cricket conditions are different here.

For non-Australian cricket fans, the most noticeable differences when watching a KFC Big Bash League game might be where the boundary lines are. For few overseas teams, the biggest change they will see is the higher quality of wickets and the lower in the field bounce for spinners.

A lot of non-Indian T20 stars have played in the Big Bash League, which should lead to a few surprises for them during the Indian team’s World Cup campaign. The IPL is only open to Indian players and tournaments like the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy are not allowed.

The Indian team is playing in Zimbabwe for the Asia Cup, which then continues with their home series against Australia and South Africa.

India is supposed to prepare for the T20 World Cup, but due to the players’ busy schedule, they were unable to do so in Australia. In this case, India will play two practice games before their campaign begins against Pakistan on October 23 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in a Super 12 match.

This match could not have been any easier for India. Players like Shaw and Dhawan saw what the Australian batsmen were doing before the start. Now that they know the weaknesses of their opponents, they will be primed to attack them and finally break their board’s 8-year winning streak.

Aside from the years of experience, captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will also have to use their specific knowledge during Australia’s Big Bash League and international fixtures. They could take lessons learned during an international series like the India-England Test Series in order to best succeed in the coming games.

According to the Big Bash scoring system, Australian National Cricket Team could use that information to predict their opponent’s next moves. By playing an extra spinner or seamer, adjusting their batting line-up for a skewed match-up and using a left-handed player in important situations, they can gauge what the opposition does best.

They need to be better than their rivals, because there are no comeback opportunities against T20s.

India’s recent record in Test crickets and white-ball series will give them confidence to succeed, so they can bring a long-awaited T20 World Cup trophy home.
