Young batsman Rituraj Gaikwad created history on Monday. Gaikwad, playing for Maharashtra in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, hit seven sixes in an over in a match against Uttar Pradesh. He has become the first batsman in the world to do this feat in limited-overs cricket.

Gaikwad achieved this feat in the 49th over of Maharashtra’s innings. In this over of Shiva Singh, one ball was a no-ball. In this way, this over was of seven balls and Gaikwad hit all seven balls for sixes.

A total of 43 runs were scored in this over. Gaikwad scored 220 runs in 159 balls in this inning. During this, he hit 10 fours and 16 sixes.
