Wayne Rooney, a legend at Manchester United, has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial departure in November has not affected his legacy at Old Trafford.

In an interview with CNN, Manchester United legend Rooney commented on the controversy surrounding the Portuguese superstar’s legacy in Manchester and discussed Ronaldo’s scandalous departure. Through GOAL, he stated:
“No, I think he has done a great job for Manchester United. Additionally, he has scored numerous goals and won the Champions League and the Premier League. So I think positively for the fans and surely for the players, his previous partners who played with him from my time particularly, we will always remember how he helped Manchester Joined together.”
“Because, in my opinion, he will always be a club legend, and it is unfortunate that it ended this way, of course. However, I do not believe that diminishes his club legacy.”
Cristiano Ronaldo played 346 games for the club in all competitions over two periods, netting 145 goals and 64 assists.
