Bangladesh has created an unwanted record in Test cricket. Six of his batsmen have been victims of ducks in the first innings on the very first day of the first Test against the West Indies. The important thing is that this is happening for the second time in the last month. Earlier on May 24, in the Mirpur Test, Sri Lankan bowlers returned the pavilion to six Bangladesh batsmen for zero. However, then the team had scored 365 runs even after six ducks, but this time the team was reduced to 103 runs.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored 175 and Litton Das scored 141 in that match, while only Shakib Al Hasan (51 runs) could score a half-century in this match. By the end of the first day on Thursday, hosts West Indies scored 95 for two in their first innings. At stumps, captain Craig Brathwaite is on 42 and Krumah Bonner is at the crease after scoring 12 runs.

The top 3 batsmen got out without a score

West Indies captain Craig Brathwaite won the toss and elected to bowl, which proved to be absolutely correct. Bangladesh got off to a bad start. He lost 2 wickets for just 3 runs and 3 players returned to the pavilion for 16 runs. Three top-order batsmen could not even open the account. Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Najmul Hossain Shanto, and Mominul Haque returned to the pavilion without scoring a single run.

Captain Shakib Al Hasan took over the innings after 6 wickets fell for 45 runs. He played an excellent inning of 51 runs off 67 balls, but due to a lack of support from the rest of the batsmen, the team was reduced to 103 runs in 32.5 overs. Jayden Seals and Alzarri Joseph took 3 wickets each for West Indies. Kemar Roach and Kyle Meyers also took 2-2 wickets.

    Brathwaite-Campbell gives a good start

After bowling out Bangladesh, West Indies got off to a 44-run start by the pair of Craig Brathwaite and John Campbell, who came out to play in the first innings. Campbell got out after scoring 24 runs. After this, Ramon Reifer could not play big innings and returned to the pavilion after scoring just 11 runs. The team lost its second wicket at the score of 72 runs.
