In the second Twenty20 International on Sunday (January 29), India and New Zealand will square off. In the first Twenty20 International, Team India suffered a significant defeat in Ranchi, and the hosts will be eager to rebound and regain parity in Lucknow.
The New Zealanders, buoyed by their first victory on the India Tour, will attempt to win the T20I series between India and New Zealand at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium. In Lucknow, Hardik Pandya will try to extend his winning streak in the T20I series.

On Friday, New Zealand beat the Indian team to take a 1-0 series lead. Devon Conway (52 off 35) and Finn Allen (35 off 23) made strong starts for New Zealand’s openers after India decided to bat first. However, Daryl Mitchell (59* off 30) quickly took the team by storm.
The final over saw Daryl Mitchell score 27 runs, bringing the total to 176 runs. The Indian batsmen lost early wickets, despite a respectable total. Suryakumar Yadav swung the momentum in India’s favor with his 47 off 34, but as soon as he was run out, wickets started falling.
Even though Washington Sundar persevered all the way to the end and scored his first fifty runs, the Men in Blue lost by 21 runs.
