Dunith Wellalage is the cricket player of Sri Lanka Team. He is in the every people’s eye after the yesterday match in Asia Cup 2023 IND vs SL. In this match he took wickets of Shubhman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya and complete his ODI 5W hauls and also he scored 42* runs in 46 balls with strike rate of 91.30.

About Dunith Wellalage

Dunith was born on 9th January 2003. He is professional Sri Lankan cricketer. Wellalage start his international career on June 2022. He complete his education from St. Sebastian College, Moratuwa.

Career-

On 14th November 2019 he made List A debut for the Lankan Cricket Club in limited over tournament. He named as Sri Lanka captain for ICC U-19 World Cup against West Indies on January 2022. In this tournament he took 5W hauls and won player of the match award he do same thing in next match. Dunith became 1st captain of Sri Lanka to make century in U-19 World Cup.

Sri Lanka team named him in Emerging team squad for England tour in April 2022. In 2022 July he signed by Jaffna Kings in the Lanka Premier League and also named in Sri Lanka test squad against Pakistan. Wellalage made his test debut on 24th July 2022 against Pakistan. His ODI and T20I career was start on March 2023 against New Zealand.
