    WNBA’s Top 10 Players of All Time: Women’s basketball was not as popular as it is today. However, the skills, talent, and passion were never low. Since the emergence of the game and the NBA, women’s basketball has seen many changes. From high facilities to change in league teams to change in popularity. Amidst all this, the game has seen some great players of all time. 

    #1 Diana Taurasi(2004-present)

    Career stats: 472 games, 19.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 30.9 minutes, 1.0 steals, 4.3 assists,  0.7 blocks per game

    She is one of the greatest offensive and her longevity among peers is great. She might not have won most championships or MVPs, but her skills are a great asset for any team. She won three championships(2007, 2009, 2014), 2-time final MVP(2009,2014), 5 times scoring champion, 10-time all-WNBA first team, and all-time leading scorer. 

    #2 Tamika Catchings(2002-16)

    Career stats: 457 games,  16.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 31.5 minutes, 2.4 steals, 3.3 assists, 0.8 blocks per game

    Tamika is the complete basketball player you can have on your team. She is the only player in the history of basketball to remain in the top 10 points, seats, assists, and rebounds in a season. She has led Fever in 12 consecutive playoffs without a lottery pick. She is one time MVP(2011), One Championship(2012), finals MVP(2012), 7-time all-WNBA first team, 7 times defensive player of the year. 

    #3 Maya Moore(2011-18) 

    Team: Minnesota Lynx

    Career stats: 271 games, 18.4 points, 5.9 rebounds, 31.2 minutes, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals, 0.6 blocks per game

    She was the no. 1 pick in 2011 and entered the league with great expectations. She is one of the greatest WNBA players. She won 4 of its 6 WNBA finals in 7 years. She has four championships(2011, 2013, 2015, 2017), rookie of the year(2011), finals MVP(2013), 5-time all-WNBA first team, 1-time scoring champion, and MVP(2014). 

    #4 Lisa Leslie(1997-2009)

    Team: Los Angeles Sparks

    Career stats: 363 games, 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 32.0 minutes, 1.4 steals, 2.4 assists, 2.3 blocks per game

    She is one of the best WNBA players of all time. She has two championships (2001, 2002), and 2006); two-time Finals MVP (2001, 2002). She was ninth all-time in scoring, three-time MVP (2001, 2004}, fifth in rebounds, second in blocks; three-time rebounding champion. She was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and eight-time All-WNBA First Team. She was the first to dunk in the WNBA and three-time all-defensive team.

    #5 Cynthia Cooper (1997-2000, 2003)

    Career stats:  124 games, 21.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 35.2 minutes,  4.9 assists, 1.6 steals, 0.3 blocks per game

    One of the greatest WNBA players in history, she brought a high-level pick and roll to WNBA. Her ability to read situations was great. She has four championships( 1997-98, 1999-2000), 4 times final MVP(1997,98,99,2000) 2 time MVP(1997,98), 3-time scoring champion, the all-time leader in career average scoring(20.98), and 4-time all-WNBA first team. 

    #6 Sue Bird (2002-present)

    Teams: Seattle Storm

    Career stats: 549 games, 12.0 points, 31.4 minutes,2.6 rebounds,  1.3 steals, 5.6 assists, 0.1 blocks per game

    Sue Bird has started and played the highest number of games than anyone in history. She has four championships (2004, 2010, 2018, 2020),  career assists leader. She has the Commissioner’s Cup champion (2021) under her name. She was seventh all-time in scoring, fourth in steals, second in 3-pointers made, and seventh in field goals made. She was the first player in WNBA history to win titles in three different decades. 

    #7 Sheryl Swoopes( 1997-2011)

    Teams: Houston Comets, Tulsa Shock, Seattle Storm

    Career stats: 324 games,15.0 points, 4.9 rebounds,  32.7 minutes, 3.2 assists, 2.0 steals, 0.7 blocks per game

    Another great WNBA player,  who played for 3 teams. She has Four championships (1997, 1998, 1999, 2000), a three-time Defensive Player of the Year (2000, 2002, 2003). 

    She earned three-time MVP (2000, 2002, 2005), two-time scoring champion, and steals champion. She was part of a five-time All-WNBA First Team and a two-time all-defensive team.

    #8 Candace Parker (2008-present)

    Teams: Los Angeles Sparks, Chicago Sky

    Career stats: 360 games, 16.6 points, 8.6 rebounds, 30.9 minutes, 1.3 steals, 4.0 assists, 1.6 blocks per game

    She is the only player to win MVP and rookie of the year in the same season. she has One championship (2016),  Finals MVP (2016); Rookie of the Year (2008), and two-time MVP (2008, 2013). She was seventh all-time in rebounds, seventh in field goal percentage and sixth in blocks. She is a three-time rebounding champion and Defensive Player of the Year (2020). 

    #9 Sylvia Fowles( 2008-present) 

    Teams: Minnesota Lynx, Chicago Sky 

    Career Stats: 378 games, 15.8 points, 30.4 minutes, 9.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 1.8 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game. 

    She has spent 7 years with Chicago Sky since her draft in 2008. She was the first draft by the team. Throughout her career, she had 20.0 points in 2011 per game, 11.9 rebounds in 2018 per game, average double-double in 7 seasons. She was 1 time MVP and 7 times all-star.

    #10 Lauren Jackson( 2001-2012) 

    Team: Seattle Storm 

    Career stats: 317 games, 7.7 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 18.9 points, 32.0 minutes,  1.8 blocks per game, 1.4 assists. 

    The three-time WNBA MVP has career points of 6007. She retired in 2016 and had 23.6 career high points in 2018. She is one of the greatest players in the NBA and has achieved many accolades. She is 7 times all-star, 3 times NBA MVP, and scored 20 points in 5 different seasons per game. She was the first overall pick by the Seattle Storm.
