Women Premier League 2023 Opening Ceremony Details, Guest List

Five teams will compete for the title of Women’s Premier League (WPL) champion during the inaugural season. After spending the money in the auction window, the action now shifts to the actual game, where teams like Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore compete for glory.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of the WPL’s debut season, including information about live streaming, teams, and schedules. The schedule for the cash-rich Women’s Premier League was released on Tuesday by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), one day after the action-packed auction in Mumbai concluded.

In the inaugural Women’s Premier League, five teams will compete for T20I supremacy. At the WPL auction, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and UP Warriorz signed 87 players, 30 of whom were international cricketers.

The Women’s Premier League will consist of 20 league games and two playoff games over a 23-day period, as stated in the BCCI’s press release. At the DY Patil Stadium, the historic women’s T20 league will begin on March 4. In Mumbai, the Women’s Premier League’s inaugural match, Mumbai Indians will face Gujarat Giants.

On its most memorable twofold header day on the fifth Walk (Sunday), Illustrious Challengers Bangalore will meet Delhi Capitals at the Brabourne Arena while UP Warriorz will play their mission opener against Gujarat Monsters at the DY Patil Arena.

Women Premier League 2023 Opening Ceremony Details :

The first of the four doubleheaders in the WPL 2023 will begin at 3:30 p.m. IST, and all of the evening matches will begin at 7:30 p.m. IST. 11 games will be held at the DY Patil Stadium and Brabourne Stadium, respectively. On March 21, the Brabourne Stadium will host the final league stage match between Delhi Capitals and UP Warriorz.

On March 24, the DY Patil Stadium will host the WPL 2023 Eliminator. On March 26, the Brabourne Stadium will host the Women’s Premier League championship match. At the WPL 2023 auction, Indian opener Smriti Mandhana was the most expensive player. At the auction on Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Mumbai Indians to sign the Indian vice-captain for 3.40 crore rupees.

Women Premier League 2023 Guest List :

Mumbai Indians paid 1.80 crore rupees for Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, while UP Warriorz paid 2.6 crore rupees for all-rounder Deepti Sharma. Ellyse Perry, Sophie Ecclestone, Sophie Devine, and Deandra Dottin, to name a few, are among the 13 international players who have accepted the INR 50 lakh reserve price.
